The Australasian Conference Association (ACA) turns 100 this week, making it one of only 12 Australian companies to reach the milestone.
ACA was formed in 1909 to help the Seventh-day Adventist Church manage its properties and businesses.
During the last 100 years, ACA has survived two world wars, the Great Depression and other economic challenges.
Since 1909, the Sanitarium Health Food Company, Sydney Adventist Hospital, Signs Publishing Company, Avondale College, and schools and missions, have been established and operating under the ACA umbrella.
"There are only 12 Australian companies that still operate which are older than 100 years," says Ron Herbert, Secretary of ACA. "And ten of them including Westpac Banking Corporation, AGL, CSR, and Pacific Dunlop, have changed their names or ownership."
ACA has kept the same name and owners for 100 years.
