Guyra has welcomed a new Pastor to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Pastor Colin Dunn and wife Maureen are new to the area and are looking forward to establishing themselves in the community.

The Sydney Adventist Hospital is undertaking an Australian-first study that could improve the lives of people on dialysis.

Nephrologist Dr Meg Jardine said the study was looking at the impacts of increasing dialysis above the standard 12 - 15 hours a week.

Blacktown Advocate, Australia - 12 March 2009

My husband and I would like to thank the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Blacktown for hosting the World Day of Prayer last Friday.

It was a wonderful opportunity to come and meet with other Christians and pray for our World, in particular the host country of Papua New Guinea.

When Patricia Martin saw two houses in her street damaged by fire she realised there are people in Levin desperately in need of items they can't afford to buy or replace.

Levin Seventh-day Adventist Church has a congregation of just over 30 and their fundraising efforts have already realised in excess of $10,000 for the community welfare project.
