Tumbarumba Times, Australia - 16 September 2009

The Jesus All About Life campaign is a state wide campaign administered by the Bible Society with many major churches across NSW participating.

In Tumbarumba, the Anglican, Seventh-day Adventist and Community churches have registered with hundreds of other churches, to be a part of the campaign.


Tweed Shire Echo, Australia - 17 September 2009

Wollumbin BUG (Bicycle Users Group) want everyone to get on their bike and cycle with safety.  Wollumbin BUG has pushed for 30 signs to be put up in areas within the Tweed Shire where bicyclists  have pushed for 30 signs to be put up in the areas within the Tweed Shire where bicyclists may be 'squeezed' off the road by cars.

Wollumbin BUG is having an official launch at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on the outskirts of Murwillumbah.  As well as refreshments, displays and entertainment, bike rides will be running throughout the day.


Coonabarabran Times, Australia - 17 September 2009

Amanda O'Neil, chairperson of the Coonabarabran Support Group, gratefully accepts a donation of $500 for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service from ADRA op-shop co-managers.

Profits from sales at Coonabarabran's ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) op shop are returned to the local community through assistance to community groups.

Warrnambool Standard, Australia - 22 September 2009

Swapping nursing uniforms for tool belts, Luke Beks and Narelle Lewis are set to administer a different kind of first aid when they volunteer at a medical clinic in the Solomon Islands.

The pair of South West Healthcare nurses are part of a team of eight volunteers from Warrnambool and Wantirna Seventh-day Adventist church that will take part in a three-week upgrade of the medical facility Balolava Clinic.


Mountain Views Mail - Healesville, Australia - 22 September 2009

Healesville's Seventh-day Adventist Church is holding a vegetarian cooking demonstration as part of National Vegetarian Week - 28 September to 4 October.

A vegetarian since the age of nine, National Vegetarian Week ambassador, television and radio personality Sami Lukis is championing the campaign nationally to demonstrate that eating too much meat may have an impact on our health and very real impact on the environment.
