Wee Waa News, Australia - 21 April 2009
Around 30 students from Avondale High School in Lake Macquarie spent last week running children's activities in Wee Waa and meeting local people.
The students visited Wee Waa for a week as part of StormCo, a youth initiative by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

A community Health Expo at the Logan West Community Centre, helped put health issues on the table, say organisers.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church-hosted health expo featured free workshops and information on the topics of lifestyle diseases and the value of good nutrition from paediatrics to adults, coronary and cardiovascular health, the need and value of exercise, weight management and happy families.

The Sydney Adventist Hospital has opened a new day infusion centre in response to an increase in cancer rates and in the treatment options available.
The centre was funded by donation from private benefactors and replaces and extends the services offered by the hospital in the past.

A Bundaberg church will spend at least $1.5 million securing a permanent home in Avenell Heights, after Bundaberg Regional Council approved the project last week.
Hinkler Seventh-day Adventist Church pastor Ernie Wojnar said the church was looking forward to having a place to call its own.
