Fulton College ordains first female elder

Mrs Fuamatu Jessie Luteru, head of the education department of Fulton College, has become the first female Elder to be ordained at the Seventh-day Adventist-owned educational institution.

Mrs Fuamatu was ordained on 29 February 2009, making her only the second female to be ordained as an Elder in Fiji.

Her ordination will provide an extra support option for the 100 single female students as well as female staff at Fulton College.

Mrs Fuamatu is married to Kofi and they have four children, Angelina, Loimata, Tyson and Analita. She also recently attained a Masters of Education from the University of Auckland.
