David Down

Archaeology reporter

Back in 1958, David Down took his wife and four children for a drive through Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Israel. This started a love affair with the Middle East and going on archaeological digs to establish the truths of the Bible. As a nonogenerian, he still runs very popular, annual archaeological expeditions into the middle east, as he has done since he retired as a church pastor 26 years ago. He also publishes a journal called Archaeological Diggings, and hosted the popular biblical archaeology television and DVD series Digging up the Past.
