The Christian's secret of a happy life
Review by Ed Gallagher
This one's a classic. The paperback edition I bought in Australia in the late 1960s cost me a mere 70 cents, but this is one of the most valuable books you can find on the Christian life.
It's about consecration, faith, the will, guidance, doubts, temptation, failures, freedom, growth, service, obedience and joy. The writer represents "holiness theology", which some might question, but the message of holiness in Christ is a message we need.
"He who sides with God cannot fail to win in every encounter and whether the result shall be joy or sorrow, failure or success, death or life, we may under all circumstances join in the Apostle's shout of victory, 'Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ!'""
If you are already settled in Christ but you long for even more depth, you'll be blessed by this book.
