Update: Signs Publishing Company reopens.

Statement: Signs Publishing Company closure

Warburton, Victoria
Nathan Brown

Due to the bushfire threat in the Warburton and Yarra Valley, Signs Publishing Company will be closed from midday today (23 February) and will be closed tomorrow (24 February).

At a staff meeting at Signs this morning, staff were updated on the situation and informed that they were free to leave as soon as they wish and that Signs would be officially closed from noon.

The situation will be reviewed tomorrow afternoon, and staff and others will be updated at that time.

It is anticipated that delivery of the March 7 issue of Record will be delayed, but the magnitude of this delay will depend on how the situation develops. We ask that you share this information with local churches.

"Of course, the safety of our staff is the first consideration," says Signs manager, Glen Reed, "and we will be monitoring the situation closely."

The South Pacific Division's Publishing Department will be operating temporarily from the Victorian Conference office.

Signs staff prayed together this morning and ask for your prayers in the continuing situation.
